Pass on Quickbooks Live Bookkeeping

Quickbooks Live Bookkeeping = Regrets

I had a consultation with a #generalcontractor yesterday who has been doing residential remodeling for 20 years. His business has been doing well UNTIL he contracted with the Quickbooks Live Bookkeeping service that Intuit offers.

In total, I've heard two dozen horror stories from others that have used this service and it's hard not to feel some empathy but at the same time you get what you pay for.

Intuit is trying to push independent accounting firms like myself, out of the market by selling dreams of roads paved in gold for a fraction of the price of what firms like mine usually charge.

What many business owners fail to realize is that users WILL experience significant financial discrepancies, missing transactions, incorrect categorization, AND poor communication with their assigned bookkeeper. This will lead to inaccurate financial reporting and potential tax issues.

I can also guarantee that the virtual bookkeeper(s) will have a lack of understanding of the specific business needs and will not care about the owner and operations.

A business should consider using a local accountant instead of QuickBooks Live bookkeeping because a local professional can offer more personalized service, deeper financial insights tailored to your specific industry and location, build a stronger relationship with your business, readily address complex issues, and potentially provide more value beyond just basic bookkeeping tasks, like tax planning and strategic financial advice.
