"𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐬" is the new fiscal pandemic.

Here’s why my analogy holds up:

🔹 1. 𝐈𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐬
Social media fuels constant exposure to curated lifestyles — vacations, luxury purchases, home renovations — which creates pressure to match what others appear to have. This behavior spreads quickly, infecting financial habits with comparison-driven spending.

🔹 2. 𝐈𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐲𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡
Just like a virus harms the body, the compulsion to “keep up” leads to:
-Overspending
-Credit card debt
-Minimal savings
-Long-term financial instability

🔹 3. 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝
Most people don’t realize they're doing it. It looks like “treating yourself,” but it’s often masking insecurity or fear of being left behind.

🔹 4. 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬
Breaking the cycle requires intentional effort — financial education, redefining personal success, and resisting the comparison trap.
